What is this Uber Dev Kit for?
This kit is ideally suited for developers working on secure compute nodes with custom enclosures or PCBAs. The kit ships fully enclosed, like a finished product — but built as a hands-on platform for node developers and is suited for pilot projects that require secure hardware with physical intrusion protection. This kit is the step up from the HSM60 Dev Kit, with more I/O, more headroom, full tamper event hardware, and more room to experiment.
This kit ships with an HSM64, which is functionally equivalent to the HSM60 but has an additional USB hub for CM4 configurations, making it an ideal setup for prototyping and transitioning toward HSM60 integration on a custom PCB.

Dual Rail Power Supply and AI Accelerator Compatibility
The motherboard provides dual independent power rails: 5V at 4A+ and 3.3V at 4A+ to for additional hardware such as accelerators, cellular modems, multiple cameras, etc. The PoE option is similarly sized at PoE++ 55W class input.
The node has a M key M.2 PCIe x1 slot with a dedicated 3.3V 4A power rail sufficient to run a high-power AI accelerator, or a large disk, or a secondary ethernet adapter.
Intrusion Detection
The kit has a fully functional intrusion detection system that works in conjunction with the accelerometer and temperature sensors on the HSM.
Reference Design Availability
For qualified customers, Zymbit offers this dev kit as a full reference design package intended to be turned into customer-specific PCBAs and enclosures. Contact your sales representative or Zymbit for more details.
Custom or Standard Node Flexibility
For those applications that do not require custom motherboards, consider the SEN-505 Secure Edge node, which is a cost-optimized node with customizable options, but is not aimed at developer looking to build a fully custom node.
